Hi
I was thinking of making my own wooden windowsill. Stain it dark and apply hard wax oil.
But I can't find any good panels/boards. I'm thinking about 2.2-3.5 cm thick,
approximately 19.5 cm deep.
Would an exterior panel 2.2*19.5 work?
Will it stay straight and nice? The window is 140 cm wide.
Or do you have any alternative products?

I've seen solid oak pieces at Bauhaus but can't find them online...J jamaica said:Hello

One can also build a window sill with slats with a small gap. I did something like that with oak slats from a carpentry shop. Got them cheap, like scrap pieces. Turned out very well, and the heat flows up better from the radiator below.

The ones from biltema are too short.
The glulam I find is too thick.
I was thinking about 22-30 mm thick and not less than 180 in width. 180-200 approx.
As for length, as I said, a little over at least 140 for the overhang on the side.
I'm still having trouble finding something. I have Bauhaus, byggmax nearby.
I have glulam at home but they are too thick. Maybe it's possible to saw them along the entire thickness?

Search for limfog. Not glulam.
Facing the same challenge. I bought shelf boards/glue joint boards at Bauhaus.
