Hi!

I'm going to install molding in a room with a sloped ceiling. Is it possible to miter and achieve reasonable corners with this molding? Grateful for tips if so.

I've read that there are more suitable moldings for this, but I've already purchased moldings for this room.

As usual, images are very helpful when trying to give tips and advice.
What type of shadow moulding, how does the room look, etc.

You can usually get away with most things using more or less amounts of latex caulk.

I'm not home now but can take better pictures later but this is the molding and the angle at the bottom.

  • Corner of a room with grey walls and light wooden floor, featuring a baseboard and angle detail.
  • White pine shadow moulding from Byggmax, 21x43 mm, S0502-Y, priced at 26.95 kr/m, product number 08621044.
Most often, a smooth sloped ceiling molding is placed in the lower angle, against which the ceiling molding is then joined. I would never have attempted to miter the lower corner.

Put the list on the ceiling instead of the wall and everything will be much easier.

Yes, that one looks quite strange if you put it on the wall. On the ceiling, it's just regular angles.

Yes, it wasn't easy to manage when the ceiling height varies; in the regular rooms where we have 250 in ceiling height all around, this molding is no problem.

Do you know if a hålkälslist is easier to fit in corners and angles?

But have you put it on the wall? Hålkärl is not easier.

Yes, we have it on the wall on the entire downstairs and all the rooms upstairs that are not open to the ridge, which then have a different angle.

We went with hålkälslist, it turned out great even with the roof slope:)
