Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent the staircase from settling?
Also, can the drain below the staircase be connected to the drainage or does it need a separate drain?
Should a drainage pipe be placed under the base of the staircase?
I have a 1-meter roof overhang and was thinking of making the staircase along the house. You don't have to cast a staircase in concrete; you can make it out of wood, right?

Very grateful for opinions! ;)

You should not connect the basement stairs drain to the drainage system. Build a stone pit separately for this drain if you cannot connect to the existing drain. Proper foundation, drainage pipe along the existing house wall and around the stairs is what I would recommend. A wooden staircase below ground level sounds a bit strange though.
