Hello,

I'm renovating and noticed there were cracks behind one of the baseboards when I removed them (to access the floor after repainting), attaching pictures below. Could these have appeared when I removed the glued baseboards (I used a putty knife to pry them off)? Other parts of that wall and the others haven't had similar cracks though.

Cracks and peeled paint behind a removed baseboard on an interior wall, revealing underlying wall materials. Cracks and peeling paint on a wall surface behind a removed floorboard, possibly caused during renovation. Debris is visible along the floor edge.

The wall is between the living room and the bathroom. Is this something that can be fixed on my own, and if so, how? Or should I hire a professional, and if so, what kind?

Thank you so much in advance!

Pick/brush away everything that is loose and fill in with husfix or similar.

Thank you so much for the quick response :)

Acquired the house repair mix now, but how do I clean the bucket I mix it in when I'm done? I assume it's not a good idea to rinse it down the drain. Or can you wash away small residues if you remove the bulk of what's left over? Or do I have to discard the bucket?

Far from economical or environmentally friendly, but I always throw away buckets with use if I'm not going to do any more plastering jobs in the near future. You tend to have quite a lot of stuff that just ends up standing around anyway.

Thank you for the response :) I will try to wash it out as Jocke suggested.
