Crack by hinge in sauna door
The frame sleeve seems to be very shallow. It's hard to put in a frame dowel if the metal is already at the front. You can do a traditional installation with wooden wedges. Easier than you might think. Glue the wedges and secure with a screw through a shallow 15/14 mm hole which allows you to place a frame dowel over the screw head. In old installations, you can expect that the frame is mounted with some large nails from the "wrong" direction.
As for the crack, structurally it's a trifle but aesthetically troublesome. If you remove the cause, it will probably go back by itself.

The jamb screw is intentionally not screwed all the way in because it creaked and cracked the more it was screwed in. So I didn't dare to continue further.
The aesthetic of the crack doesn't matter to us. The worry is that the crack is right where the jamb supports the hinge/door leaf. The door leaf is very heavy, it's glass.
But I've gotten many good tips here now, so it should be possible to fix. And it seems after all that it might be more stable than we feared then. That's good.
An idea I had now is if one can secure the area around the crack by driving a long screw straight through the crack from the side? Or would that even worsen the whole thing?
Everything that needs to be done will be done next weekend when we go out there again. So I have the week now to figure this out and prepare.
