I have an old U-shaped staircase that isn't very pretty from underneath. How can I easily cover the underside of it?
The main problem, as I see it, is that the staircase has different "angles" on the inside and outside. Therefore, the material must be able to be screwed or bent a little (or?).
Ideally, I want a completely smooth surface, but some form of paneling is also okay.

I believe you can use Stucanet http://byggsystem.knaufdanogips.se/mounting/gypsum_plaster/stucanet/index.html and then plaster with gipsputs to get a somewhat smooth surface. Assumes that you do not have open steps, but have sättsteg, i.e., so you cannot see through.
