I have removed a door between the hall/kitchen and now need a wide trim to cover the stud+drywall (which is now visible in cross-section, so to speak). On the hall side, I will cover it with molding, but on the inside towards the kitchen, it will not be covered, so the edge needs to look neat. White painted is a preference.
I want to avoid taking a wide board and painting it myself because the surface finish won’t be as I desire. The width should be 100mm.
What is it called and where can I buy it?
