Hello,

I have installed door trim and casing after enlarging a doorway. But now the problem is that gaps have appeared between the casing and the door frame. My idea is to attach trim strips or quarter round between the casing and the frame to cover the gaps. However, the problem now is that all the trims on the market are larger than the measurements I need.

The measurements I must have:
Width: Maximum 11 mm
Thickness: Maximum 6 mm

What should I do? Can you buy an oversized trim strip and then plane it down to fit?

Can you draw a sketch?
I don't understand where the "listen" should go.

It might be enough (and could be nicer) to switch to a wider trim?

Isn't it easiest to go to a carpentry and have them cut moldings in the thickness you want?

I might be old-fashioned, but isn't it just easier to ask the carpentry shop to cut them?
