Cover flashing
OK, so then the question about flashing is a thread topic and you have received an answer. Your flashings are not correctly installed even though you can see this type of installation here and there.E Evalarsson36 said:
Your comments about the carpenter possibly deceiving you are then the subject of a possible new thread that is entirely separate from how flashing should be installed?
Exactly 👏 finally someone who reads. Thank youClasseClas said:

Your comments about the carpenter possibly tricking you would then be the subject of a possible new thread entirely separate from how a flashing should be installed?
This is so confusing. What do you need help with?E Evalarsson36 said:
Long post...
Currently building a house without a wind barrier but using gypsum, screwed 45/45 battens for the panel but temporarily removed them and attached the sheet metal to the gypsum, then taped it to the gypsum (actually did the same in the warm storage where I have wind barrier). The idea is that any water intrusion in the panel will cause water to run out onto the flashing and not into the window frame. Easy to do.
45/45 is then screwed back at an appropriate height over the flashing so that the panel sits correctly.

And you seem to have reading difficulties too. I have NOT hired a bunch of carpenters to install windows for example 😉 I have been responding to a lot of inaccuracies and not many of you have said that you know they are incorrectly placed because you have training in the field either.T trojlee said:
