Hello!

I have a new kitchen fan, so now I need to cover up the old drainage hole. My question is whether construction adhesive is enough when it's just a tile that needs to be attached, and if I need to fill in plaster or something similar in the hole beforehand. Thanks!!

  • Kitchen wall with white tiles showing an uncovered circular hole, previously used for a ventilation duct, surrounded by construction materials.
  • Hand placing white tile on kitchen wall with a visible hole, surrounded by construction debris and broken tiles on the surface below.
What was the drainage for and what was there before the new one?

Otherwise, a good glue should work well.

If it is a hole that leads to a cold space, then it should be insulated as well.
