Ugly irregular and crooked ceiling beams that are exposed after raising the inner ceiling need to be concealed. With what? Preferably dark wood, a bit of an Asian style. What is recommended? Hardwood is probably only available in quite limited supply concerning dimensions, right?

Maybe craft something from ordinary light wood and stain it to the right shade??

Kirai decking is a reddish-brown dense wood without knots and relatively inexpensive. Interwood in Götet. /CC
