Contura stove with Premodul chimney on my flat roof house
The fireplace was approved today
. I thought I'd share some information on how I built the fireplace from "0" to approved in just a few days. There are rules that must be followed:
1. minimum chimney length 3.5m
2. 50mm from double insulated chimney to combustible material
3. standard thickness for fire-rated insulation is 300mm
4. the pipe from the chimney should be mounted the correct way (common mistake for amateurs)
5. minimum 100mm the final pipe from the chimney should protrude and a minimum of 100mm should be to the roof cap
6. Be careful with the installation of the square chimney cap...measure twice and cut once
7. VERY IMPORTANT do not forget the "strings" that insulate between cassettes. (the chimney is single insulated)
. We used all the materials we had. Most important to follow the manual, if questions contact the store
Good luck.
