It works perfectly... I built a couple of similar doors in 2003 that are painted with exterior paint and still look the same...

If you have two minutes to spare, feel free to tell me how you did it... ;)

Hi, I haven't manufactured but renovated garage doors etc., using grooved plywood, which is perfect for the purpose. It's used by some door manufacturers. Thought of it as an alternative to k plyfa.

I would have chosen formplyfa or marine plywood.

Have had a playhouse built entirely from Byggmax plywood, and if you at least prime it with oil, it will hold up, BUT you MUST repaint it in time. If it looks a little chipped, you can't leave it because then it deteriorates quickly.

But it's definitely a good option, and Byggmax "is so bad" (the surface veneer is not sanded) that it gives life to the surface.

I made a frame of 45x70 with an internal diagonal brace... then I glued and screwed plywood on the outside... then added some battens to give them a bit more life... looked for some pictures but didn’t find any... might take some pictures tomorrow...

Thanks!
Did you do anything special with these 45x70, like glue-laminated, or did you just screw them together, possibly half-lapped?
How did you handle the hinges, did you use regular door hinges, countersink them or just screw them onto the studs?

I didn't glue the frames back-to-back, but I would probably do that today if I were to do it all over again....hmm....the hinges yes....how was it with them....hmm...I think they are Hak hinges on those doors.....
