I will soon be starting to build a villa in timber and I'm contemplating how to construct the exterior walls. My plan:

13 gypsum
13 OSB
45x45 studs / warm side insulation
1 vapor barrier plastic
45x195 studs / interior wall insulation
9 outdoor gypsum / GUE
28x70 nailer strip
21x145 panel
TOTAL THICKNESS: 325 mm = 32.5 cm

Thus, the wall will be 32.5 cm thick, of which 24 cm is insulation. Possibly 26.5 cm insulation if I use 45x70 on the warm side. My KA suggested I could use 45x70. I definitely want an energy-efficient house, so insulation is the last thing I will skimp on. It's always a plus if it’s quiet as well.

What do you think? I would also appreciate tips on how to plan the intermediate flooring. Noise level is, of course, important.

For the intermediate floor, I recommend light beams. Also remember to plan plumbing/HVAC and ventilation when designing the intermediate floor.

Don't forget to include the stairs! It was just barely possible to make a good staircase when I was finished.
