Hello everyone,
I am planning to build a conservatory for autumn/spring, i.e. unheated in winter. The foundation is intended to consist of a poured slab (without underfloor heating) with tiles on top.

Now to my questions;
1. A highly regarded builder suggests that no drainage is needed for this slab, as "the gutter takes care of most of it." This sounds strange to me, what do you think?

2. Are there any recommendations on how much insulation foam should be under the concrete?

Attached is a picture of how the house looks and the placement of the new conservatory.

Best regards,
Andreas

Isn't it just a matter of laying a hose at the front and connecting it to the existing drainage?

200 cellplast works excellently.

Must and must. Probably can manage without, but why not lay the tubing while you're at it...
No need for more than 100mm if you're not going to have any heat out there.
