Hello,
I'm planning to transform my boring laundry room in the basement of my 1940s house into a combined laundry room, toilet, shower, and bath.
But how do you get some tips for a "floor plan"? It's so easy to get stuck on something and not be able to let it go.
Is it an architect I should hire then?
Or do you have any tips?
Should I build a small "room" or hide the toilet in some other way, would that make it much nicer, you think?

I'm considering hiring tradesmen for certain parts, breaking up and insulating the floor, etc., to make sure it's done correctly. But how does it work, will I need to coordinate between plumbers and carpenters? Do they take care of that themselves, you think?

If you want to have a shower corner, how does it work with waterproofing in the basement against the exterior wall and on the floor, there seem to be some differing opinions on that.

I'm renovating the entire basement, and there's lots of great info here on the forum about it, thanks for that!

There's a lot of engagement on the forum regarding floor plan issues. Make a simple sketch and upload it, and soon a bunch of members will likely start modifying the sketch with new suggestions, I would think. :)
