We have moved the kitchen to a different location in the house. In the old kitchen, there was a pantry cabinet with two vents on the wall, one vent at ceiling height and another a little bit above the floor.
The house is from the 60s and has a double brick wall with an air gap in between. My idea is to leave the vent grilles on the outside as they are and simply seal up the inner half of the vent holes in the brick wall.
Any risk with that? The house now has mechanical ventilation, so it's more a question of whether there is any risk to the wall around the former vent holes on the inside or outside if I seal them this way?
