Hello!
New to the forum and also a new homeowner.
The first project I want to tackle is closing the current open staircase.
I have tried to read up on how to deal with the risers, but I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with.
Can I follow this video guide or is there another (better) way to do it?
https://gds.se/hus/trappor/trappa-stang-den-oppna-trappan
From a financial perspective, what material should I use for the risers?
What screws and what type of molding?
All tips are gratefully received!

Following! Anyone have tips? On DIY you have to pay to access info/image materials.NicklasP said:

There are books available for loan at libraries with step-by-step descriptions of how to do it.H Hufsa said:
You can also buy your own book, so you can look at the pictures in your own book and take notes in the book.
Books have the advantage that they do not require internet access.
Used mdf boards and attached them at the bottom with regular wood screws, I think. Then silicone(?) at the top to seal any gaps.H Hufsa said:
Did it a couple of years ago, at the thread start, and it's still holding up
