I'm also hunting for cheap laminate flooring. But since we have a dog, there's quite a lot of wear on the floor.
What do you think about IKEA's laminate flooring?
Could it last a year or two (we're not planning to stay longer than that... ;) ) with dog claws and all??

At least it's cheap ;D....

Byggmax also has a good price on laminate flooring!

According to the salesperson I spoke with today, a laminate floor is more durable than a solid parquet floor.

The laminate floor is technically a much better floor. It is in the aesthetic realm that a parquet can win. But the fact is that laminate fits well with underfloor heating because it does not crack, and conducts heat better. It feels cozy with underfloor heating, but it doesn't look like an oiled oak parquet. :)

Yes, there are pros and cons to everything apparently. We have ash parquet in the living room, hall, and kitchen. (the floor runs from room to room) We considered laminate but decided on parquet anyway so it can be sanded in the future if it gets too worn. Parquet in the kitchen might not be the smartest. But we have so much tile in the house and parquet is probably as damaged by spills as laminate (??)

C -> you say that you have so much klinkers in the house....
Where besides the bathroom and laundry room and maybe the entrance do you have them?

We will have klinkers on the entire ground floor, even the living room.

Honestly, about the beginning of this post. Does IKEA have click flooring? I bought flooring from IKEA some time ago and only saw glue-down flooring. Worked fine. Only found two "planks" on 16 sqm that were defective. Of course, you find these defects the day after the glue has dried because it's so easy to lay. :-/
Saw Byggmax click flooring a while ago. Really cheap but does that small shallow lip really keep the floor in place? The more expensive ones have a clearly more pronounced lip, right?! Correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Bathroom, toilet, utility room, vestibule. We'll also have tiles in the upstairs toilet. And a small patch in front of the stove.
