Hello!
I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to treat a silicone seal so that it becomes matte?
I have a black kitchen countertop in compact laminate with a fairly matte surface. When I applied black silicone between the countertop and the wall, it became incredibly glossy. It would have looked better if I could have gotten the seal to be matte.

It might sound picky, but I think it would have made a big difference=)

Sand it down slightly with a fine sandpaper,

Okay, it might work if you're careful? I thought about it a bit but was afraid of causing damage. Maybe it could work with the green rough side of a sponge?
Thanks for the tip!

Start a little where it is not visible, start with a white sponge, then green and then 400 paper type.
