wondering if anyone has good tips on what to do and if it's necessary to clean around the repaired parts of plastered walls in the basement that were previously painted. I have repaired where it was damaged and had no paint... But I have smoothed out the damage so that it "blends in" with the rest. But there are some residues above certain painted areas around the actual repair. What should be used to clean around the repair itself, or should I just use a sponge and water to remove the worst?

  • Two blue doors in a basement with repaired plaster walls, visible pipes above, and patterned floor tiles. The wall shows areas needing cleaning around repairs.
  • Patches of repaired plaster on a basement wall, with some visible residue around the edges. Blue doors and exposed pipes are also shown.
