Looks very good! Congratulations!

It's very common for the edges to get more pores and it's difficult to fix. I had issues with the edge absorbing more water and resulting in a worse surface, solved it by brushing water and oil around the edges.

What have you impregnated with?

How did you manage with the sink, it looks almost flush-mounted, was the sink used as part of the mold?
Was any oil used in the mold for casting?
What did you eventually impregnate the slab with?

Very inspiring.

Edges: yes, it's difficult. But the impression is good and rustic as it turned out, I'm really pleased!!!

Impregnation: Steinfix 100+, quite expensive but worth ten times the amount! Works perfectly!

Sink: I mounted the sink directly in the form with double-sided tape. Turned out great. A bit of work to remove tape residue but well worth it since I really wanted it flush-mounted. The stove was also done as flush-mounted but made as a cutout in the form with plywood and cellplast. Also turned out really nice! Can upload a picture Flush-mounted stovetop on a rustic concrete countertop, showcasing neat edges and grey surface, in a newly renovated kitchen setting.

The table is now finished. 3 pictures showing the table during casting, after casting, and de-molded in place.

The result turned out great! Lightly sanded with wet sandpaper and now it just needs to be treated with oil...

In this case, the legs are trestles from Ikea. I made this table for a friend, for the one I'm going to make for myself, it will have welded legs in black steel.
Nice work there! Do you need to cure with water and wrap in plastic after casting?
