I have now received a spec on exactly how our panel should look to clad our house.

Now it's time to order the panel from a sawmill. I assume there are many in Sweden.

Living in Lund, Skåne. How important is it for the sawmill to be nearby? Does the shipping cost much? Or should one choose one in Norrland, where the trees grow slower and the wood is better?

Grateful for tips on good sawmills.

Best regards, Erik

Hello Erik

It's not a sawmill you should turn to, but a planing mill or a sawmill with a planing facility. I'm not sure how much you want to buy, but a problem might be finding a planing mill or sawmill that wants to produce panels just for one house and has your "profile." Check with some "lumber yards" and see what prices they offer. I don't think the shipping will differ much. A tip is to call Rödins Trävaru in Skanderåsen, Jämtland. They have a planing mill and often can handle quite small quantities. I hope you find something that suits your needs.
