I am going to build an extension with concrete blocks. Half of the walls will be below ground level and the other half above. But the choice of mortar is a jumble right now since there is so much to choose from.. Something I have looked at is Webers thin joint mortar M10, Webers Flexoheft M2.5, mortar B at Byggmax.

Some cost more, others less. But what should I choose and what fits best?
 
Who are the manufacturers of the blocks? Usually, one should use the same manufacturer
 
Mortar B at, for example, Byggmax will work perfectly for this.
 
Yes, I agree. You don't need to have a specific manufacturer for this.
 
One more thing: Be generous with rebar in the shifts!
 
Thanks for the answers! I will get bistål for the rows. Reinforcement after the first row and then at every third, is that enough? Including substantial overlap..
 
Every third says the recommendations. I usually take a little extra where there are supposed to be openings for windows and doors.

Always run over and under windows regardless of what is elsewhere.
