I have dismantled the old kitchen in the summer cottage and will use the space as a hallway. There will be wardrobes on the right. The kitchen is now located elsewhere.
What we see plastered is the back of the stove with a Keddy insert. It gets really warm and cozy after a bit of burning and retains heat for up to 12-13 hours. I want to keep it open in the future and use it as a radiator.
The upper half is painted, and it previously had kitchen cabinets. The middle section had tiles. Some form of primer is on it. I think it will be difficult to remove the primer/paint.
What would be the best and easiest option? I'm considering tiling. Or does that counteract it? Is there tile in soapstone, for example? It should be good in terms of "radiator perspective." Or just paint/plaster? Are there other solutions?
