Choice of horizontal siding panel?

We are extending and will have horizontal wood paneling on the extension. The architect says we should have a stylish panel of a more modern cut (a bit wider). But how do you check what types/appearances of horizontal paneling are available? Does anyone know and can suggest brands and dimensions?

We will have fjällpanel on the upper part of the facade (3m+ above the plaster) and will use the 12cm wide ones. I think this will be great.
