We are going to lay new flooring on the upper floor (1.5-story) and the distance between the beams is about 1.1m. What should we install? Chipboard, gypsum board, solid wood planks, or something else. The distance between the beams is large, so only chipboard might not work so well?

I would probably supplement the joists to get shorter intervals. Studs and noggings. Alternatively, lay a substantial plank floor, at least 50 mm thick.
