Hello! We are in the process of changing the floor in our old wooden house, but have encountered a problem where there was once a wood stove. There is an area of about 1x1 meter consisting of concrete. We are planning to lay chipboard as a subfloor, but how do we handle this particular section? Can a moisture barrier be placed in between? If so, what?

The only thing you can do is to prevent potential capillary moisture from the concrete (assuming it has ground contact?) Either with a small air gap or a capillary-breaking layer such as age-resistant plastic.
