Challenge. Roof ornament dragon gargoyle, how to make!?
I am currently building a guest cabin and shed on the property, like a terraced house roughly, 20 + 15 with timber cladding.
We live in the countryside and can do a bit as we please outside the "frames"...
Everything is in "Dala style," but at the same time, we like the Asian style a bit.
Our daughter is a 17-year-old anime illustrator... "Why not make 2 Gripen/dragon silhouettes at each end!?" she said.
Well, why not...
I gave her a cross-bottom board... what could it be... 57x1150, to draw on?
Anyway!
What do we make the silhouette out of???
It is going to be bolted to the gable boards/roof... but we don't want it to fall apart in 4 years...
Cross-screwed construction plywood?
etc..
etc..
Bring out the ideas now...

Sheet metal, perhaps 5 - 10 mm thick
Formplywood
If you are considering regular plywood, it must be of marine quality to last in the long run

I would have made homemade laminated wood in pressure-treated, and jigsawed, but then the figure must be adapted for manufacturing so that you get a reasonable strength, for example by straightening the neck. It becomes quite a windcatcher.
