Hello! Does anyone recognize this tile and know the name/manufacturer? Is it made for outdoor use and does it have any anti-slip protection? It says "made in italy" and "PO RC EL LA NA" on the underside.
Grateful for any help. Regards, Elman
A person holds a large gray tile in an office setting, seeking identification and details about its outdoor use and slip resistance. Underside of a textured tile displaying a grid pattern with the words "PO RC EL LA NA" and "made in italy," partially covered with damaged material. Close-up of a textured tile with diamond patterns partially broken to reveal a dark gray core. Tile includes text "made in Italy" and "PO RC EL LA NA". Backside of a textured tile with diamond patterns, displaying "Made in Italy" and "PO RC EL LA NA" inscriptions. Inquiry about outdoor use and slip resistance.

If it's "granitkeramik", i.e., a porcelain tile, then it is most likely okay for outdoor use.

Do you have any markings on the box?

It does say "porslin" on it, unless it is a brand name, but I don't think so.

There's no box available, I'm wondering because they have started to come loose on the patio and I'm wondering if the installer did something wrong or chose the wrong product.

It looks like the adhesive has come off from the substrate. Then it's not the tile's fault, and you could also think that there is very little adhesive.

Yes, it looks like a happy amateur did that; outdoors, you want as close to 100% coverage with the adhesive as you can get. If the loose tiles aren't broken, they can probably be used again.

It is (probably) frost-resistant tiles from GRES Italy. I bought it at Bauhaus. I have the same print and pattern on the back as your pictures show. It is slip-rated. Not the highest class but quite high, I believe. We don't slip on it even though they are wet with running-jumping-playing.

I have laid 60-70m2 around my pool. They have survived 2 winters now without any problem. It's important that the mortar completely covers the tile properly.

Have your tiles really been set in mortar??? Seems like a sloppy amateur or a professional who was in a big hurry.

Okay thank you it might very well be them! I also think the coverage looks sloppy with holes here and there, you can also see some dirt in the fix which indicates that the underlying concrete slab was not cleaned before application... thanks for the reply!
