Hello! We're about to buy a central vacuum for our house and I was wondering if you know anything about good brands etc. We're only going to have the central vacuum on one floor of about 132 sqm.

We're considering Allaway or Husky, does anyone have experience with these?

Grateful for tips!

I have been in the same situation as you. :-/ I was all about a husky until I went to see them. For me, it turned out to be an allaway, I don't quite remember what it was called now as we haven't received it yet. Pushed forward the delivery on it until the house arrives.

I still think they are quite similar. The reason I chose allaway was that it had a built-in silencer and then those nice connections they have for the pipes. :) Makes it a bit easier for the one who will install the CD.

Also, the fact that there are a plethora of spare parts available if you ever need to replace something.

But I know it's a difficult choice. Oh, how I wavered before I made up my mind :o

Beam has nice stuff! Initially thought about taking Husky but changed my mind after a closer look. They have the same pipeline system with 50mm glued white pipes. Check out Råd&Rön's website. There's a test to consider there.

My two-step Nilfisk (palace) still works well,
but it seems like the switch on the handle doesn't withstand building dust...
It "clicks" sometimes.
Otherwise, I am very satisfied, especially with its strong suction.

The most important criterion still has to be sound damping. Damn, my Unival is so noisy even though it's only three years old. Luckily, I can shut it in. :(

same here - it makes a lot of noise near the central unit

Place the CD's central unit in a suitable location, e.g. basement, garage, attic, etc.
