Has anyone built using HH Celcon aerated concrete? Experiences are welcome.

I am personally very interested in Celcon's products for our upcoming house construction. It is very similar to what Ytong offers, but they provide several advantages compared to Ytong.

They have "carrying handles" in the bricks. I have tried carrying Ytong bricks and Celcon bricks. What a difference it makes for the body to carry the latter. You save your back!

Then I think their concept with roof elements is superb.

Have you read Thomas Lövskog's page, where he describes his house construction? He says that H+H Celcon is very interesting for his next house construction.

Agree, there are synergies. But there is a concern, and that is logistics. Celcon is currently operating in Germany and they send trucks without cranes, which is troublesome. Ytong worked with Närkefrakt with sensible unloading solutions. I have looked at Lövskog and in addition to a burning interest in technology, he has apparently done masonry work with his father-in-law and it went well, no broken backs.

Hello!

Ytong also has "carrying handles" on their blocks. There are 3 models to choose from. Blocks with handles, blocks with grooves, and without grooves and handles. These are available in different combinations.
So, what is really the difference?

The price! But right now Y-tong cannot deliver anything. It's possible that the bankruptcy estate will continue, but I would be hesitant to do business with a company that is insolvent. Celcon has always been cheaper and has thus outcompeted Y-tong in recent years. Celcon SE has significantly increased its turnover, while Y-tong has decreased. Otherwise, the product is equivalent. But like everything else produced in places with a better business climate than Svedala, the prices can be lower.

Is it just me who is having trouble accessing lövskog's page ???

No, I couldn't access the page either. Tried different options but -no. However, it is likely something extremely temporary.

He apparently has the website on his own server at home that doesn't always work. Be patient, with his interest in technology it will probably be resolved shortly. It would be best to host it on a web hosting service that is more reliable and faster!

I've been trying to access the site on and off, since before Christmas...

It works today 2/2.

1. What is the pricing situation for HH Celcon's products?
2. Ytong has always had good information about their products with the downloadable "lättbetonghandboken". What I've seen from HHC doesn't provide much info. Is there more information available somewhere?

So far, it has been lower, hence Ytong's declining shares. Only a retailer can answer the exact cost. You can also call them. A Roland Bock is responsible for FSG. However, I have another tip; www.solcon.se, click on LAMMI STENHUS, check this out. A Lecalösning with insulation that you build easily without masonry and then fill from above with concrete, just like with a foundation casting. The technique makes it faster and gives the same result as Celcon. In addition, you can run electrical conduits, etc. in the wall before casting and thereby avoid all grooving. Will be in contact with them this week, so let's see what they have to offer. Got a tip about this from an architect.

Now solutions are pouring in....for those who want to build themselves without ruining their back, there's Dorocell. A Lego-like system in Styrofoam-like plastic that you assemble easily and then cast, and presto, you have a stone house. www.dorocell.se offers many tips and ideas.

Hello,

Regarding HH Celcon's products: I spoke with our former building contractor who built our Ytong house in 2003 and who now, due to Ytong's "problems", builds with HH's products. His opinion is that Ytong's elements are better as they are of slightly higher quality (the hardness of the material), which means that when you install the elements, they do not crack as easily at the bottom as HH's do. But as he said - "There is repair mortar" :-)

Hey bro, that remains to be seen haha ;)
