I have framed out a wall from my original concrete wall because a new kitchen is going to be installed, to avoid having to channel new electrical wiring etc. Now to my question. I have installed a steel stud in the ceiling and in the floor, which consists of concrete, and they are fastened with metal nail plugs at 4cm cc50. Then I have framed with 45x70 wood studs at cc60. On top of this, there will be 12mm construction plywood and then renovation plasterboard.
As a beginner, I'm worried if this is sufficient? You don't want the kitchen to fall on your head while enjoying your breakfast in the morning It's going to be an Epoq kitchen from Elgiganten that will be installed.
I would have chosen steel studs instead, just as you have chosen them in the ceiling and on the floor The steel studs also have pre-drilled holes for electricity and other installations, and these holes are there from the start, so they don't weaken the construction.
cc60 should work, but it doesn't cost much extra to go with CC40, which will definitely suffice
We have just made a new wall for the kitchen, the entire wall is covered with chipboards, about 20mm thick, then there will be a row with frames for all the drawers and a stone kitchen counter, and the whole wall covered with cabinets above the counter, screwed into the wall at the top where the crossbar is behind the chipboard.
