Hey.
I'm planning to make a table à la Timell.

This involves a cast slab that is 2000*300.
The first test was done with expanding concrete, didn't vibrate very well so there were some air bubbles that I didn't want, plus the reinforcement shone through.

The second test was with fine concrete, which I didn't like at all.

So now it's down to trying with self-leveling compound, or expanding concrete again.

I've learned a bit along the way so I'm sure the next one will be good, but the question is what should I use?
Any tips or thoughts anyone?

Maybe it will be better if you mix the expanding concrete a bit wetter so it almost becomes like self-leveling compound.
