A new solution. I have just built a deck in pine land consisting of sand. I used hammered ground spikes and support beams 45x200. Crosswise overlaying 45x145. Works well. Completely above ground, that is.
A bit skeptical about burying wood. Compare with our well-impregnated posts in the pastures. They are fairly worn out after 10 years. Despite the fact that they were supposed to last significantly longer.
Ok, I'm abandoning the idea of casting the load-bearing beams. Thanks for your opinions.
Now I'm starting to look at decking and considering a weekend in Poland. Do you have tips on good hardware stores there where I can browse online? I've found one called OBI. I'm not quite sure about the prices though...
The first image is translated with Google, the second is original. What do the different prices 44.99 and 18.75 mean? I first thought it was per square meter and per linear meter or piece price but it doesn't add up.
EDIT: Yes, it does :-|. 18.75 per 2.4 meter board and 44.99 per square meter. Super cheap!
100 SEK per square meter :-D

You probably shouldn't buy such dark decking, even weathered wood becomes scorching hot in the sun, uncomfortable to walk on barefoot.
