I have finally located the leak that is causing an interior wall to become wet. It is a construction flaw in the sealing of a walkway adjacent to the balcony (and there is a risk that the balcony has the same construction issue).
It is original from 1977 and the problem is that the waterproofing layer only extends to a cast ridge (about 6 cm high) but not over the edge. This means that the water "gets stuck" against the ridge and then leaks down into the wall.
I have now started to chisel away the ridge and plan to remove the old waterproofing (asphalt mat). Before I apply new waterproofing, I need to cast a slope since there isn't one today, and I also need to cast over the removed ridge.
The problem then is that it will be very thin, from about 2.5 cm down to 0.5 cm. What can I use to cast such a thin slope?
