I will cast 2 pillars for a future pergola of 6x4.5m where one side of the pergola will be attached to the facade.
Now I will cast the outer pillars and have EPS concrete left over. Is it okay to cast with it or are there any disadvantages?
I got the casting tubes down about 50-60cm and they are 120mm in diameter.
Should this be reinforced or can it be done without reinforcement?

If you haven't already done the job, I can recommend this ground spike. I've seen it in action, incredible durability, frost-resistant, and done in a few minutes.E Ett fisk said:I will cast 2 foundation stones for a future pergola measuring 6x4.5m, where one side of the pergola will be attached to the facade.

I am far from an expert in both forging and reinforcement. But I quickly put this together yesterday. Is this enough as reinforcement in the pier?Stefan N said:
Any tips on when to pour? I've seen some people, for example, use a reciprocating saw on the casting tubes or reinforcement to vibrate away air bubbles, so I thought I'd try that.
Does it need to be wrapped in plastic after casting?
Anything else to think about?
