Have cast a slab without embedded underfloor heating. Instead, I will have a floating floor in the form of 50mm grooved EPS and plan to lay parquet directly on it.

Questions:

# In wet rooms (bathroom and laundry room) that will have tiles, I probably need to embed the PEX pipe in some form of fine mix or something similar about 40-50mm. I want something that is reasonably self-leveling. Any suggestions for a suitable product? Had planned to mix it myself with a regular cement mixer or a pan mixer. Total floor area about 15m2 (two bathrooms and laundry room).

# The entrance will also have tiles but no wet room vapor barrier, so I had thought to avoid embedding the PEX pipe there and am considering if there is any other solution for how I can build up 50mm with space for 20mm PEX and that becomes stiff enough for tiles.

Maybe?? Is it suitable/possible to use self-leveling compound for 50mm and should it be reinforced in that case?
