I am planning to add insulation to my carport, which already has three walls (and with doors, it will become a garage). But I can't afford to pour a concrete floor yet, so the gravel will remain for now.

How do I build the final section between the wall and the ground? The wall ends neatly about a decimeter above the ground:

(The branches and twigs in the picture will of course be cleaned away...)
Picture from inside, taken from above, where weeds and debris will also be removed, of course:

A row of lecablock inside the wall? How do you connect it with the rest of the wall then? Should it be dug a bit into the ground? etc.

Excavate, insulate, pour at the bottom, and build with lecablock under the existing wall. Then you have the mold ready when you need to make a slab...

Hmm, are you thinking of building a frame with leca blocks? What should it look like underneath?
Unfortunately, it's not relevant to cast a concrete floor for a while as mentioned, and in the meantime, I need to use the carport/faux garage.

He means that you are casting under the lecan.

One should probably have asphalt paper between the lecan and the wood, I think.

It depends a bit on the level of ambition... If it should be done 'properly' (with the caveat that I'm not an expert), you should dig out so that you can place a board of cellplast on a gravel bed, then either cast a footing at the bottom or use pre-made footing blocks, build up to the correct height, and plaster/moisture-proof. Lay down pipe for drainage/roof water management before you fill it back in.

You can't build all the way up with bricks, so you have to adjust so that you either fit an entire extra sill board, or block at regular intervals. Always sill paper or similar between stone and wood.
