I would like to install interior fittings in a closet next week, but it's not possible to find top tracks for Elfa's wall-mounted system in any store around here.

Maybe a dumb question, but is it okay to just attach the hanging tracks, like we did with the old Elfa systems? It will only be used for clothing storage, so the load won't be too heavy.

There are no screw holes to hang them with anymore, so you'll have to make those yourself if needed. But I guess it will go just as well/poorly as before.

Aha, in the pictures on Elfa's site it looked like there were screw holes. But Biltema's carrying rail could be an option, it is in stock. Seems like it can be combined with Elfa's tracks? Elfa has better accessories (e.g., baskets) so I would preferably use them for everything else.

Three years ago when I installed our first tracks in the house, there were no holes, but the ones I installed this spring had holes every 1 meter down from the hook to the support rail and then every 50 cm between the screw holes. So they are evolving for the better, but I think it's stupid that they didn't save all the screw holes...

There are holes quite a way down on them, but they mainly serve to hold the rails against the wall.

Turn the rails upside down to get screw holes high up.

Those that are to be screwed directly into the wall are also thicker than those that are to be mounted on a hanging rail, so it's not appropriate to mix them.
