Hi! I'm thinking about installing Moelven Regina panel board (line decor white) on the walls of a small guest cottage in the countryside. I've looked at samples and think it looks quite okay, but I've never seen a full wall. Does anyone have experience with Moelven's decor panels and can recommend or discourage? I'm mostly thinking about the feel of the final result, does it feel plastic/fake?

It depends on what your ambition is with a "small guest cottage in the country"?

It will likely look like the product images, i.e., quite uniform and monotonous in that way. But I wouldn't describe it as "plasticky." If you want it more rustic, you should put up regular paneling with the variations it provides to make the surface more "alive."

Ultimately, just like with the Christmas tree, the overall experience and impression depend mostly on who decorates and furnishes in relation to the interior. If you're only going to have paneling and a bed, it might be a bit dull. Whether it matches the style of the other houses is another question.

I don't have any experience with that specific panel, but when I last looked at beadboard as panels, I decided I will probably choose loose boards and nail them in the usual way.
