Since you live in the Örebro area, if the roof is properly dimensioned, the snow zone is 2.5. This corresponds to 2.5kN per sqm, which is about 250kg per sqm. But if the roof is open and you add an identical beam next to it, you don't need to worry about being near the limit or if you get snow on the roof. At the same time, most of the suggestions given regarding reinforcement should also be perfectly acceptable solutions, assuming we're not talking about long-term load.
