Can moisture-resistant tape withstand wetness?
Hello,
I have a space that looks like this:

It would have been best to put a water cabinet here, but for various reasons, we have to choose another solution. So my idea is to use age-resistant plastic and tape; my question is whether age-resistant tape can withstand moisture? One would think it should, as moisture can occur in walls where it is otherwise used. If not, do you have suggestions for other tape that can be used around the hoses?
Apart from this, I will also place a moisture detector in the space.

It was intended to install a hatch actually, here's how it looks right now.

I've bought a door to place there but then I thought about sealing. If there's leakage, it won't be fun since everything is chipboard. After we had a leak under the kitchen sink, you learn that chipboard becomes completely ruined even with a little water.
Do you mean I should level the hole with self-leveling compound to match the floor? From what I understand, you should avoid that, the pipes should be accessible easily if problems arise.
Painting with a waterproof coating sounded good! However, I'm not sure it can be done without removing the pipes, hoses, and pump? And it sounds like quite a significant job to me?
