I have gabla ventilation holes in a wall I want to seal with concrete blocks and mortar. Now it happens that I have a bag of plaster mortar at home. Can I use that mortar to seal the hole? The only requirement is that it should be a "whole" wall. As I understand it, plaster mortar is a bit softer than masonry mortar but since it's only meant to fill the hole and keep the concrete block in place, this should be fine, right?

Tips and advice please!

I did that when I filled in old holes. Took the block and applied mortar and bricked it in, then plastered on the outside so that it would become one with the rest of the wall.

should mention that I used the same bruk for both.

Yes, but the question was whether I can only use plaster mortar for masonry?

what is the name of the bruket?

i.e. brand and name?

Works well, smear the pieces and polish it.

yes, it's good that it's c-bruk. then you avoid potential cracks if you had used something harder.

make the block/blocks 0.5-1.5 cm smaller than the hole on all sides so you can put mortar around the stone (either on the stone or in the hole) that you're going to wall in, then just go ahead

Thank you for the tips!
