Installed door with exposed foam sealant around the edges, questioning if it should be covered promptly or if it can remain exposed for a while.
Just installed a door, can the foam sealant be left for a while or do you have to hurry to cover it?

The foam holds up, but you should immediately wash away any foam spilled where it shouldn't be, as it otherwise leaves ugly marks or stains.
I hope the foam doesn't change the shape of the frame; sometimes supports are needed when foaming.
Foaming the threshold is a bit unnecessary, and it's easy for the threshold to rise, causing the door to hang poorly afterward.
Is it a low-expanding foam?

It becomes dark yellow in the sun and can get a little crispy, but not in just a few days.
Check to see if the door still works as it should, there might have been a bit too much around there...
