Hello

I am investigating whether a wall I want to demolish is load-bearing.
I spoke with the building office at the municipality for drawings, but they didn't have any construction drawings.
The wall is located in the basement and is made of blåbetong that is plastered, in total the wall is 100mm, of which blåbetongen is 70mm.
Could the wall be load-bearing?

Thanks in advance

Hello... I live in a Ytong house (blue concrete) myself. And when I tore down the upper floor, it was, as you wrote, 70mm blue concrete and about 10mm plaster on each side... And I can almost 99% say that it is NOT load-bearing, because there was very poor strength in all the walls. The load-bearing walls we have in the basement and ground floor and the outer walls are made of about 20 cm blue concrete blocks.

I
70 mm lättbtg./blåbtg. (manufactured in the Tidaholm area or Yxhult) is very likely only room-separating, i.e., not load-bearing.

Thank you all!
It feels safe to tear it down now, everything indicates that it is not load-bearing. Of course, I will tear it down at a slow pace so I don’t get the roof on my head if it turns out to be load-bearing ;)
