Hello.
I have screwed 60% of my decking.
I have 34x145.
The current decking I'm working on is around the pool.
Last summer I completed those 60%, then a lot of other stuff came up. I'm continuing this summer.
I installed them with C4-class screws. I've learned now that it should be A4 around the pool.
Most of the screws have broken during the winter as the decking expanded I guess because the boards are loose now. The decking by the house was screwed in the same way but is still holding up. (Smaller sqm so less tension?)
1.6mm gaps during installation are very suitable on the small decking now 3 years later.
So, the question.
Essves 5.0 x 75 A4 screw
Or
Camo 4.8 x 75 A4 screw.
I don't want to put in more screws, so which is better? Does Essves hold better since it is a bit thicker?
I have the Camo tools, so I'm leaning towards them.
But I really don't want to screw the decking a third time.
I know it's recommended to have more spacing. But that's not possible if I go by how the small decking turned out now that it has dried. Then we'll fall in between.
Thanks.
