I remember that many years ago the road authority had a web-based calculation program to determine how much base course was needed for paving depending on the load but especially on the soil type, whether it was sandy soil, stony soil, etc. Does anyone know if it's still available or if there is something else with the same function? It could also be for road construction, it doesn't matter.
