Hello!

I need to calculate the average U-value for a new building and I'm wondering how to do the calculation. Should I calculate based on the entire surface area of the building's walls/roof/floor from the outside, or just the area from the inside?

To clarify, a wall of the house is 10 m long from the outside. Inside, the same wall is 9.5 m long since the wall meets the end walls which are each 25 cm thick. Should I enter 10 m in the calculation for the wall area, or 9.5?

Grateful for help!

I am doing the calculation on energiberakning.se

Inside that counts. Remember that windows and doors have different U-values than the rest of the wall.
