Hello, is there anyone here smarter than me who can figure out the best lengths to buy for this roof so you don't get butt joints in the same place all the time? The length is 9150 plus planned roof overhang of 500 on both sides and the width is 5500, so I was thinking of having 12 rows of battens. There is 1010cc between the rafters. Graph paper with a drawn roof layout showing 12 rows of bars, dimensions marked as 9150 and 5500, and spacing labeled cc 1010.

sure, you can find studs that are 5.60, then you don't need to splice at all. Here they have studs that are longer than that [link]
and you can buy laminated beams in almost any dimensions and lengths you want. But maybe it breaks the budget?
I need studs 45x95 and here they only have them 300,360,420,480,540

Since you have the drawing, you just need to measure? If you can tolerate every other seam, then take two lengths. Otherwise, pair them two by two.

But if you can get them on the roof, I would probably order the right length at once.
